Broadband speed

Can someone tell why my BB speed has gone down from 6.9Mbps (average over last year) to 4.5Mbps especially early morning ie 5am in the last week?
Can someone also tell me why my email & password work for everything else on the site but not for 'Contact Us' - I even got my password checked - which is why I'm asking here about BB speed?

Some things that might enable people to help:
Is it possible for you to post the resutls of the BT speed tester http://speedtester.bt.com/
Also what does it say under your high speed broadband in the portal https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
Can you post any stats from your router something like:
Connection Speed  6272 kbps  832 kbps
Line Attenuation 50.0 db 26.5 db
Noise Margin 6.4 db 9.0 db
and finally what is the status of your exchange http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/

attached below is a PDF graph of my broadband speed showing that we did have a problem in November, but seems to have sorted out now. 
My synch speed is 8128 and profile 7150

Hi. Thanks for answers but that just brings me to my second point - my email & password which BT ask for to verify account don't work on anything but madasafish site eg for webmail & logging into My Account.

You need to enter the login name and password that you use in your modem/router.
