Re: Broadband speed too slow last 2 months

Your physical sync speed is pretty poor for your line length.
In addition to the information that's been asked I'd recommend going through our online troubleshooter below

Re: Broadband speed too slow last 2 months

Master socket
Your DSL Connection Rate :5.89 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
Normal socket
Your DSL Connection Rate :2.27 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
The connection rate is vastly improved on your master socket, can you leave your router plugged in there and if the line stays stable we'll be able to reset it and your speed should increase significantly.

Re: Broadband speed too slow last 2 months

Have you moved back away from the master socket?
We can only see you connecting at 2240 again now.

Re: Broadband speed too slow last 2 months

For some reason your line is only connecting at 2240 now from the master socket. When did you plug in there as the last disconnection was over an hour ago.

Re: Broadband speed too slow last 2 months

Superb, thanks.
It's looking pretty good there, so I'm going to reset the line. From the results you've given it looks like your internal wiring isn't ideal, so I'd strongly suggest keeping the router in the master socket going forward.
You might lose connection briefly as the reset goes through.

Re: Broadband speed too slow last 2 months

The reset has gone through and I can see that your line is now connecting at 7232. This in turn should give you a profile of 6000, so I'd expect speed tests to be much better for you and general line performance to have improved.

Re: Broadband speed too slow last 2 months

Either (this is the prefered method) login to the router and disconnect the PPP conection, then click connect after about 10 seconds.....or
turn off modem wait 10 seconds then turn back on.
