Broadband speed slow

Hi

I've noticed in the last two days that my broadband speed has dropped to almost half its normal rate. I was getting a very stable 6 - 8 mbps ( has been for years)  and have now seen a drop down to 2.07 mbps and was wondering if this has anything to do with the severe thunderstorms that hit the UK overnight Tuesday through Wednesday.

I've done all the usual tests etc plugging router into master BT but still the same

Thank you for getting in contact with us via our community forums regarding the issues that you are currently facing.

From running tests on your line I can see that your circuit is affected by a major service fault in the area and there should be an update available tomorrow the 22/07/2016 regarding the issue.
