I can assure you that your sync speed cannot be affected by our changes. One of the disconnects on the 2nd could be down to the account change, but not the other 10 or so.
You need to test this in the test socket before we can do anymore on this. I *know* you've stated nothing's changed, but things can deteriorate, and BT will require this if we get to the fault raising stage.

Isn't that lesson number 1 in the "How to bugger up your IP Profile tutorial?"

If Plusnet had done a "seamless" changeover of my product, this situation would probably not have arisen.
Because Plusnet blocked my access to the internet, sometime after 10:30 pm on Sunday night, I could not access the internet as I should have been able to on the Monday morning.
Because Plusnet blocked my access to the internet, without informing me, I assumed the router needed to be re-booted, which (probably) explains the "10 or so" othere disconnections you mention.
Because I could not connect again after the re-boots, I contacted Customer Service by telephone,
Now, I have this dilemna.... do now disconnect my router to re-boot it from the master socket, which will take about 30 minutes to complete. and lose any "profile" I have, and then go back to a 500 kb profile for a further waiting period, or do I hang on in there, with the current profile and hope that Plusnet can do something about it, seeing as how I am paying more for the service, and getting less of it.
Edit Edit... Read Jelvs comment about disconnecting and [censored] my profile by connecting up to the master socket. (Thank you Jelv !)

I have managed to crawl under the bed, and connect my router to the master socket. I also found a long enough mains extension cable to be able to power it up...
As predicted, it looks as though it was a waste of time.... !
The SNR increased on initial power up, and has remained higher than when the router was in it`s usual postion..... at the end of a 10 metre extension with two phones plugged in along the way, (all with filters).
The only improvement was in the Downstream rate from 1120 to 1504 kbps
Two BT speed tests were carried out.... one on initial move, and another 3 hours later.... both with the same resulting figures

So.... If it is possible , would someone at Plusnet, please get my profile increased, and let me return my router to the place where it has the least SNR to contend with?
Still Stubborn.... !

You aren't going to like this.
Summary
Speed in master socket 1504 kbps
Speed in normal socket 1120 kbps
Noise margin is irrelevant - it is a default 9dB noise margin in both cases
If you want to get back to a 1000kbps IPprofile you are either going to have to use the master socket or fix your internal wiring.
There is nothing whatsoever Plusnet can do - it is all down to you.
You could try fitting an iPlate which may help

because of sloppy changeover, causing me to re-boot my router, my speed has dropped....
It has nothing to do with my wiring............ I repeat................ my wiring has not changed. my speed has.... my product has changed, my wiring hasn`t, my speed has....
OK?

Because I was bored?
NO.... Because I could not connect to the internet, and thought I had a faulty router.....
WHY did I think that?
Because Plusnet blocked my connection, sometime after midnight on Sunday, and Before 8 am on Monday morning, without telling me.....
WHY did Plusnet block my connection ? Because I had not paid my bill? NO... Because I had gone over my limit? NO ...
I was 24 hours into my new "unlimited " Product.... which somehow became very limited when they blocked my connection.

Yup! The reason you did what you had to is now well understood - but the fact remains that the "Problem" is a feature of the way ADSL (at least in the BT implementation ) works. On a long line with high attenuation you are likely to get this result and it *WILL* take up to 10 days for the system to recover. There is little (if anything?) that can be done to shorten this elapsed time.
Follow the advice from people like JELV and minimise the extent of the problem. Getting all exasperated here will have no effect at all on solving the problem.
Calm down / Chill out

I am quite calm, and resigned to the facts you mention and despite the fact I am still waiting for a response from my ticket .
I have read and taken in, the advice by jelv and others, (and it has made little difference as already pointed out) but my router cannot stay where it is, as it is not safe from a fire point of view, and also because of the long extension lead needed to power it from another rooom. I will have to move it back to it`s "normal" position, where it has been functioning at 1.4 meg My wiring of the extensions is as good as any BT engineer could do, I am fully confident that it could not be "improved", except by laying down gold covered cable sheathed in two layers of copper braiding.
Unfortunately, moving it from the back room to the front of the house, has only shortened the length of wire from the exchange to the router by about 10 metres, and as you will observe from the stats already posted, that has made no difference to the attenuation figure....but has increased the SNR figure....(which, by default, proves my wiring is not faulty) Yes, it shows an increase in the download speed, but that should also increase when the router has been in it`s normal position for another 7 days or so. hopefully back to what it before.

well sound advice from Maurice. However, if you would like me to, I'll correct a few myths and misconceptions and give some advice that may help you to recover your speed and profile sooner rather than later, and possibly do a little better than previously.
Edit: PM noted, will do
2nd edit: JFTR I don't think there is a "training period" as such going on here p-p, probably not a good use of terminology.

check out the SNR figure compared to being in the master socket....(. As high as 9.4 )
Mode: G.DMT
Type: Interleave
Line Coding: Trellis On
Status: No Defect
Downstream Upstream
Rate (Kbps): 1280 448
Do I need to sort out my wiring or what?
SNR Margin (dB): 8.1 20.0
Attenuation (dB): 63.5 25.0
Output Power (dBm): 12.1 17.4
Do I need to sort out my wiring or what?

You need to try for higher speed with same margin or same speed with higher margin or both higher.
Lower speed and same margin =
Same speed with lower margin =
Lower speed AND lower margin =
