Ok, just checked the line again...now have a dial tone of sorts....it sounds like line engaged ?...tone on tone off tone on tone off...does that make sense ?

Voicemail? Try dialling 1471 and see if there's one waiting.

 

Those speeds are looking much better now compared to the estimate.

Thanks for the suggestion Chris, i'll try that out later tonight.

I did have a couple of weird calls over the weekend, which when answered, started ringing the other end, before going dead...assumed my line was being tested.

I use the phone so little, it didn't occur to me it could be a 1471 message..also i have an answering machine, which i showing 0 messages lol

Well Chris, as you suspected, there was a voicemail, now cleared, and yipee, i have a dial tone !

Just tested my bb speed and it is 6.4mb, so slightly better than before i had these problems....yay

I'll monitor the situation for a few days, but hopefully that's sorted the problem.
