Broadband speed loss

Download speedachieved during the test was - 1.54 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 0.4 Mbps-2 Mbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :2.46 Mbps(DOWN-STREAM), 0.45 Mbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 1.75 Mbps
I noticed that my broadband speed had dropped a few days ago, I was synched at 2.5 and was getting 1.75 IP Profile.  I reset the router (left it off for 5 mins) and it resynched at 5.5 which is the usual speed.  The following day I checked the IP Profile and it was still 1.75 so I did another reset and it returned to 5.5 synch and 4.5 IP profile.
It did a couple of disconnects and dropped back down to what it is now.  A 5 min switch off no longer gets it to synch back to 5.5.
