Re: Broadband speed drop after giving up my landline phone.

Thanks for your screenshot, @caney97 . Unfortunately, due to the way BT/PN have implemented their interpretation of the cack-handed 'Digital Safety' legislation, it takes a while for other users to be able to see images. Fortunately, as always, there is a way round it.

It appears they have provisioned you on a 40/10 profile, so, as you can (in theory) get a better speed, I suggest you follow an earlier suggestion and ring PN, and ask them to put you on the 80/20 one. If they say 'no', come back here and we can probably get it sorted for you.

EDIT: @MisterW types quicker than me - and I didn't spot the notification when his reply popped up.

@jab1

Is the image still being blocked as I thought I'd released it not so long ago

@jab1 sorry, I keep forgetting that, I see @Dan_the_Van  has released it 😥

@Dan_the_Van It was blocked when I started typing my reply, but I got interrupted. It was visible when I finally posted, though.

Re: Broadband speed drop after giving up my landline phone.

Just an update. I have had a call from Plusnet today and they are now in the process of changing my profile so that I should get a faster speed. He could see that my phone line is capable of supporting a higher speed and said it was wrong of the automated system to cut my speed when I opted to drop the land line phone at their request. Hopefully tomorrow we will be up in the 50mbps range. I will update again when all is sorted and up and running.

Thanks everyone for your input to help with my enquiry. Very much appreciated .
