Broadband speed deteriorating

Round about September 7th the speeds reached a plateau of around 6.5 to 7.0 Mbps, which I found pretty satisfactory, and substantially higher than I was getting from my previous ISP (Madasafish, Plusnet's sister company).
However, starting about October 17th a significant decline is apparent, and it now seems to be averaging between 6.0 and 6.5 Mbps.
Can anybody - or more specifically Plusnet staff - offer any explanation for this anomaly?

Before doing anything else can you post the Currrent Line Speed from https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed and also run the BT Speedtest using this link http://www.speedtest.btwholesale.com/PerformanceTesterWS/diagnostics.do and report back
The results should be 6,500kbps for both the current line speed and the BT IP profile
If neither of those show a problem then
I suggest - at about mid morning - going to here http://192.168.1.254/cgi/b/bb/?be=0&l0=2&l1=-1 and click on disconnect then leave it for a few minutes then disconnect the router from the phone line or reboot it. Once the broadband light is green you may need to click on connect again
That should give you a small increase in sync speed - please post the results as if you get more than 7,968kbps then you will get an increase in profile of 500kbps
However this won't affect your speed test results for several days to give the BT IP profile time to react.as you appear to be on 20CN
However as your line is interleaved this may not give an increase - we can only wait and see
The best you can possibly get is 8128 kbps
Can you also put your phone number in http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/
and report what it says about WBC on 21CN

"BT have not advised a planned date for WBC on 21CN"
I will reboot the router as requested and report back later.
Thanks for your help so far.

Your graph matches our details perfectly. You are syncing at 7.9Mbit at the moment but the bRAS profile seems to be stuck at 6500k, this should have increased (I can't currently see the historic data I want) for you back to the 7500k that you previously had.
If this remains at this level, I'll have BT reset it for you.

You are not correct in what you say - the IP profile is absolutely correct for the sync rate on a 20CN connection and there is no 7,500kbps IP profile either so it can't have been that ever
@kbturner
damn - it hasn't pushed the sync speed high enough to trigger the next higher profile so I suspect that you are stuck with it

Probably best to go through a few basics as I've just suggested for someone else.
@kbturner
Do you normally leave the modem/routert on 24/7 or switch off periodically?
Can you hear/have you heard any crackling or other noises on the line when using the phone? Have you had any problems with incoming or outgoing calls? Dial 17070 select option 2 for the Quiet Line Test.
Do you have any extension phone sockets, and where are you currently plugged in?
If a CRT member (Tony perhaps) reads the thread, a Vis. Radius could be very useful.
