Broadband speed = 2,73 Mbps

Hello,

My broadband is very slow : 2,73 Mbps

The BT ADSL checker says this :

So I understand it should be minimum 5 Mbps, is that correct ?

Then the performance test gives this :

So it says the maximum is 4 Mbps (??) and my conection is OK because its between 1,2 and 4 ..... 

I have a friend in the same building, he has Talktalk and he has 5 Mbps (which is slow but still better than 2,73 Mbps)

The performance test won't run at his place (it gives an error).

Can you please help me ?

Our tests aren't showing any obvious issues but your speeds are well below what I'd expect.

Have you got the router connected to the master socket?

I have a Plusnet 2704n router and I am able to connect to the admin interface on it. What is the information we are looking for ?

Ok I changed to the master socket and now its 7.39 .

Is that the speed I am supposed to get ?

That looks good - obviously there is something wrong with your internal wiring
