Broadband running slower and slower over the last few weeks (please close)

I have been with plusnet for a few months now and for the most part it has been pretty good.
(save for the traffic shaping, which I don't like but thought was (almost) a fair trade off for a decent quality connection 24 / 7)
But now, my connection is not what I would call decent.
Over the last few weeks I have noticed my connection, specifically in the evenings, has become very slow indeed.
As of a few minutes ago this is what internet speed test is reporting:

Im a moron
I rebooted my router and the speed has magically gone back to normal
