I called to ask advise about this problem, after doing all the checks advised on the site. I was told I would be contacted between 2 and 3 days time. Is this award winning service? I think not.

If you reproduce some of the results of your tests (i.e. router stats, BT speedtest) here you might be able to speed things up.
