Broadband quick question

Hi this evening ive got connected to plusnet broadband for the first ( as im a new customer ). Ive ran a speedtest and its showing this
10 meg ... cool but...
Broadband checker says my line can only support 8meg so just wondering how im getting 10 meg. I suppose i should not complain but i know over 10 days it will drop alittle as it evens itself out, or will it ?

what are your router stats as speedtest.net can be a bit flaky

Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps): 12023

In which case you are on 21CN ADSL2+ and the checker is wrong
You should ask for the upload to be uncapped as this will more than double your upload speed

well i dont download much, i only rely on internet for online gaming and downloading new pc games and surfing. What would your recomend?

I would think Skype is the most obvious application that would benefit from faster upload speeds, and it would be the person at the other end who would get the benefit.

well i dont use anything like that. Gaming and surfing is about all i do.

It might help a bit with games, but to be fair if things are working well for you at the moment probably best to leave them as they are
