Re: Broadband password

@Jayy633  It's the password you use to log into your account on the Member centre.

Re: Broadband password

If it is a Plusnet router it should be set up to your account  (inc password) when it was dispatched and should connect automatically. It may be that your account is not yet fully activated if it only started today (activation can occur anytime up to midnight)

@jgb

If it is a Plusnet router it should be set up to your account  (inc password) when it was dispatched and should connect automatically.

I believe this is NOT the case, the Hubs are delivered with the factory default broadband username being setup@plusdsl.net,  the firmware version may also be out of date.

At start up the Hub polls the CWMP (TR-069) server and provided the serial number of the Hub is registered on the CWMP system the broadband username and password will be populated and Hub will go to the connected state. If the process fails (serial number not registered) the the Hub broadband username will remain at setup@plusdsl.net

For first time log on the firmware version is checked and if out of date it will be updated

@Dan_the_Van

You are quite correct but nevertheless if it is a Plusnet router and if Plusnet have correctly registered the router to the account it should connect without requiring either username or password to be entered by the customer. On initial connection the firmware will update. I may have expressed myself incorrectly but the issue is the same.
