The slow downs are listed as fixed speeds regardless of line speed. With my line speed I should barely even notice any difference with the restrictions in place, I wish!

Yeah these people that get 8 Meg, they must have perfect lines in all respects.
I can only manage 1.4 on a good day then BT's dreadful DLM steps in and whacks it down to 1 Meg.

Im very lucky, my house was built in the 30's and the telepphone lines have been in for decades, i get a 8MB connection.
The exchange is about 400m away, whichmust REALLY help!

going back a few month, one of the useful posters even wanted a cooling tray so he could use his laptop in bed, hope James GF dousnt let him go to that extreme

The company I work for will soon be ordering some single mode fibre for me to blow in at a current job. I will make you a deal. If you dig the roads I will get us connected. May have to work at night to avoid detection though
