Re: Broadband my way pro / line profile

Line length is one factor but I believe the route is another. My line length is similar to ASBO DOG but my IP profile is 1000kbps less. I'm putting the difference down to the fact the the exchange that I am on is one side of the town centre and I live on the other, with a good chance that the cable routing is via the centre of the town as the old exchange in the 50/60's was situated there as part of the Post Ofice. The town is largish as it's a County Town.
What I see in the attainable sync speed is a change of approximately 1500kbps between day and night time rates. Due to the fact that I lose most of the bins above 180 at night.

Bad luck with that itsme, its also possible you may have some sub-standard cable for part of the connection. Also if there is any significant length overhead, that won't help.

The bad luck is that I'm 100m from the demarcation line between 2 exchanges. The other exchange is only half a mile away.  Cry
