Broadband light flashing

Got a router supplied by plusnet and the broadband light is flashing. I cant connect.
Its been 53 days since i signed up to plusnet and i havnt been on the internet once.
any help.

yeh, yesterday. Not even a reply to say its be 'escalated'

Are all the other lights lit up and green?

except the internet one. it doesnt come on at all.

It may seem obvious but double check your username and password are correct. It can be case sensitive too. I couldn't connect at first and that was the problem for me.

I cant even get the that point. It says no broadband can be found. Yet i got an email saying i was connected several days ago.

I don't know what else to try. Support check these forums most days. They will pick this up. Otherwise, you will get a responce on your ticket soon.

It seems likely the flashing light you mention is the "DSL" light, and means that the modem cannot synchronise with the DSL equipment in the BT exchange.
If the light stays like this, then that is pretty terminal - either your line is not activated at the exchange really, or your router just cannot hear the exchange.
Was the email reporting that your phone line was connected, or that your Broadband was connected? If you are having the two done together, then broadband activation takes a few extra days... although the router is generally posted out by PlusNet so that it arrives just before the Broadband is activated.
If it was telling you that your broadband that was activated, then you might be best served by phoning PN support, and get to talk to someone to confirmn activation: http://www.plus.net/support/customer_service/contact_us/contact_details.shtml says 0845 140 0200 for Residential Support, and 0845 140 0080 for Broadband & Telephone faults.
Otherwise, most fault-finding will start by suggesting a few standard steps, including plugging the modem into the test socket (behind the master socket faceplate) with everything else disconnected from the line. Hi, you say you had an e-mail 'several days ago'. I have seen it on someone elses post, where they had the same problem. The upshot then was that Plusnet have activated it but BT were dragging their heels about activating the line at the exchange.
I hope thats all it is for your sake - irritating but easily resolved with a little help from PN.
