Broadband light flashing help

Hi my internets not working for a few days now lights on router flashing I spoke too plusnet through live chat done all the things he said about troubleshooting butt. Couldn't check different router as don't have one was told to report fault but if it was router that was broken I'd be charged for engineer visit so should I go buy another router and see if that works or not n if so will any router be ok? I need it fixed asap for my kids thanks

I've just upgraded to fibre will need to wait for new router
