Re: Broadband keep on having flashing orange light

Thanks. That does  look to be connected correctly to what is a filtered master socket.

There's only one other thing I would suggest, that is to remove the front plate of the socket ( it's clipped on at the sides) then use the filter supplied with the Hub to connect to the test socket that will be revealed. Reason being is that its not unknown for the faceplate connection to be faulty.

If that's not possible ( and I appreciate it might not be ) or it still flashes orange, then raise a fault.

@stephenie I'm not sure that using the text BOT will work from your phone, I think the mobile number you text from needs to be associated with the account. You probably need to call customer services.

Re: Broadband keep on having flashing orange light

So we were, forgot that. Looking back over the thread @stephenie reports receiving text messages about activation, so that mobile must be associated with the account anyway

No, you've done everything possible. The only thing to do now is raise a fault with Plusnet

Re: Broadband keep on having flashing orange light

@stephenie If it is still not connecting with the Hub in the test socket as in your picture, then the fault is external to your parents house. This needs Openreach involvement, so - have you had any response to the text messages? If not this needs picking up by the PN Help Team for action - or you could report the fault the 'old fashioned' way by using this link: https://faults.plus.net

EDIT @MisterW types faster than me. 😀

Re: Broadband keep on having flashing orange light

The most productive thing which can be done now is to obtain a telephone hand set and confirm that the line is connected, is the right number and without noise.

The router will sync long before looking at the account being activated.
