What's wrong with plusnet at the minute? A Month back I reported it was slow, which in a day or two I had a reply saying an engineer was needed to attend but I work mon-fri 8-6 so I wouldn't be available. Within a day or two my speed magically went up to 3mb (still poor) but what I was originally quoted.
Fast forward to recently, for the past week or so it's been down to 0.2 mb/sec with no reply from the faults team. I'm loosing faith now, especially when I get 27mb/sec from my mobile phone that is constantly reliable.
Any more info would be great.

Hi Karl922,
Apologies for the delay in updating you on the faults testing that was carried out last week. I've taken a look into this for you and run a few more checks which have turned up some information although nothing substantial. As you can see from the chart below, there have been a few drops in connection although nothing that would indicate a total loss of connection, in addition to this the testing has come back from our supplier with a possible verdict of Line Loss Degradation which needs to be investigated further.
In order for us to progress this we would need to look at ensuring that all test and checks have been done on your side first so could you take a look through the details here and confirm what this has been done so that we're able to look at raising this back to the supplier.

From the initial outlook of this fault check it would seem to steer towards an engineer visit being required if the tests outlined above don't remedy the situation so we would need to look at having someone at the property for the visit should we progress down that road.

It addition to what Jim has said, can you also run speedtests from speedtest.net and http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/
I've recently being having a problem (not necessarily or likely to be related to yours) and I couldn't believe what I was seeing from those 2 latter speedtests!

I tried the test socket, still the same speed. 0.17mb/sec.
If an engineer has to come to my property, do you do evenings after 6?

They can be booked for Saturdays sometimes if it really is a problem at other times.
Have you tried running the checks mentioned in Jim's link and my post?
