Joined Plusnet last month and was extremely happy with the initial 3 weeks of service. Connection speed was lighting (faster than any other provider) running at around 10Mb and not a hint of any connection problems. Thursday just gone (13/06/2013) however things started going south as did the honeymoon period. For the last 7 days it's been a case of pot luck IF I can get on the net what with regular disconnections and crappy speed, I'm now starting to think it's been a bad move.
Can someone explain what would cause this issue. Throughout the month nothing has changed my end. I've tried 3 different routers and still the problem remains. Tried 3 different PC's, an XP machine, a Windows 7 machine and a Linux machine all with the same results, nothing but problems? For prospective both Virgin and TT who have supplied me in the passed have had no such problems getting data down a copper cable 0.9 miles long and have been as reliable as Vdub.. So far PN have switched on Interleaving - does that fix connection problems?
I don't like moaning, all I want to do is come home from work have some dinner and scream at the TV for an hour playing BO2... too much to ask?

Welcome to the forums. Sorry to hear that you are suffering speed issues. Can you please take a look at this trouble shooting thread and post some more details back here. Router stats would be useful as a start point.
Details of your master socket, extension wring and where you have your router plugged in would be useful.
There are many issues which could be the cause of your loss of speed. Is your telephone line free of noise - crackles etc? Dal 17070 and select option 2 - you should hear silence. If not, please first raise a nosy line fault with your phone line provider before trying any further to address bb speed issues.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
If this post helped, please click the Thumbs Up and if it fixed your issue, please click the This fixed my problem green button below.

Just finished the quiet line test and all is good, dead silent. ADSL state info shows this:-
ADSL State Show Time
Data Path Interleaved
Operation Mode ADSL2+
Bandwidth Down/Up(kbps) 7694 / 447
SNR Margin Down/Up(dB) 8.0 / 20.3
Attenuation Down/Up(dB) 37.0 / 20.0
Power Down/Up(dBm) 19.3 / 11.3
CRC Down/Up 0 / 0
FEC Down/Up 44221 / 23
HEC Down/Up 0 / 0
System Up Time 0:07:04
DSL Up Time 0:06:15
And lastly the pic of the master phone socket..
Not a great pic but gives people an idea. Will take a pic of the internal master socket wiring if it's needed.
Much thanks.

Regarding the numerous disconnections - that is serious and if a member of staff can post the historic line connection status we may be able to see a pattern

If you get the chance to do this it would be interesting if we could run a line test with the router both in the test socket and in the usual front faceplate of the master socket.

Now would it be unreasonable for me to ask Plusnet for a credit on account for the days I was without a usable service?
Just wondering

No not at all, however my advice would be to wait a few days first to make sure the connection is stable:
