Broadband disconnection

Every year I have disconnection problems and slow speeds - now running at 160-488 kbps.  BT do a quick fix but don't understand problem.  They say my linbe is Ok and should get 2.5 Meg.  I get problem even plugged straight into BT master socket. I can only stay online by leaving the phone off the hook.  Customer service from Plusnet a disgrace - problem reported 17 days ago still no one in sight.  You can put up with problems but not getting it sorted out in a reasonable time is unacceptable.  Anyone else have to leave their phone off the hook to stay online.

Re: Broadband disconnection

Hi,
I'm sorry that noone replied to your ticket yesterday.
I've now booked an engineer for you, and he will be visiting between 0800-1300 tomorrow morning.

Re: Broadband disconnection

I have to thank James of Customer Support for arranging a BT visit.  The good news is they came a day early, just a few hours after posting my problem on the forum.  The bad news is that the BT engineer was not a Broadband specialist, just a normal line technician. He said he was not advised of the nature of the problem by Plusnet.  So he now has to arrange for a Broadband man to come, probably next week. It will then be 3 weeks of unacceptable service. How annoying is that.  AAAARGH
