Broadband and streaming 4k media to a SUHD Tv

At present I am on the unlimited broadband package, and want to know if that is going to be fast enough if I join Netflix using their 4k option? Its to make use of having a SUHD TV. I am guessing that I will need the unlimited fibre package for streaming 4k media.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings not that long ago stated the company's planned 4K streams will need at least 15 Mbps but optimally 50 Mbps.

Below are the Internet download speed recommendations per stream for playing movies and TV shows through Netflix.

• 0.5 Megabits per second - Required broadband connection speed
• 1.5 Megabits per second - Recommended broadband connection speed
• 3.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for SD quality
• 5.0 Megabits per second - Recommended for HD quality
• 25 Megabits per second - Recommended for Ultra HD quality

Taking that into account @Logicearl, I can see that you're syncing at about 18Mbps. It's a close call.

I can see that fibre is available, and you should see speeds around the 70 mark if you fancied upgrading.
