Broadband Progress

Hi folks!

I do not know what has happened recently!!  Looking at my printout from my TP-Link W8968, which does a thorough system data check about every few seconds, I find that my line characteristics have made a record leap into sensible values:-

         Date       SNR Margin (0.1dB)     Atten (o.1 dB)   Attainable Rate (Kbps)  Down Rate (Kbps)

       01/07/17        100                              390                     4,080                            2,043

       21/07/17          41                              390                   12,296                          10,883

       03/07/17          31                              395                   13,192                          11,564

I presume men down holes have been at it, praise their efforts!! I have noted elsewhere that the Plus Net email's performance has improved massively after well over a nightmare of more than a year! There must be hope!!

Funny Thumbs Up

Re: Broadband Progress

Mine went up to 12mbps for over a year - but they soon fixed that - back 6mbps for you my lad!

Don't worry, they'll get round to you as soon as they find out you're getting too good a speed - just don't tell anyone.

Oops!

Looks good! The broadband gods must be looking down favourably.

Re: Broadband Progress

Always nice to see some good news. Thumbs Up

Is 03/07/17 supposed to be 03/08/17?  Undecided

@198kH,

Thanks for that!

Well spotted! You are quite right. Something must have been odd for good news (that rare ?)

Re: Broadband Progress

@198kHz@Gandalf@bin

 Just an update on the above. Things seem to  have stabilised a bit with a small deterioration in line performance.

Date 20 08 17

SNR   48         Atten  390     Attain Rate  12,188   Actual Rate  10,523

Predictions for things going pear-shaped seem not to have happened!

Huh
