My problem is similar to the high broadband usage question. I have noticed that my usage for the last week or so has been more than double what it normally is. I'm not very technical and don't really know how to check this, I was looking at the connection details and noticed that the broadband firewall is off, should I turn that on and if so to what setting? I can change my password as was suggested in the usage post but not sure what else to do. This might have something to do with broadband phone calls usage when I haven't made any. Any comments/advice welcome.

Are you sure no one is 'stealing' your wifi? Have you got PCs quietly downloading win10?

Do you have automatic updates enabled? Are you using Windows 7 or 8?
If the answer to both those questions are yes, it's highly likely that Microsoft has decided you ARE going to upgrade to Windows 10, like it or not.
