Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information. IP profile for your line is - 5500 kbps DSL connection rate: 448 kbps(UP-STREAM) 6400 kbps(DOWN-STREAM) Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 2304 kbps
Its possible, what service are you on, BBYW etc, what have you used this month, if you are near your limit, that is the value you will be throttled to see for usage

I'm a bit confused over your figures as to which are bits (b) and which Bytes(B) but that doesn't look like the sort of throttling PlusNet apply. You appear to be getting over 2 megabits download on a line Profiles at 5.5megabits. This is perfectly adequate for most people, but probably somewhat slow for your line, even allowing for the holiday season. It would be an awful lot slower if it was PlusNet's "over-quota" throttling. How does it vary by time of day, especially at off-peak times if you can check it then?
All the time, same speed. I used to get up to 650 kbps on my torrents. I am now averaging 250-260. Its not a major problem, its just you know what its lke, your bored, you see something you want and and you want it quick. Thats been my problem and why i went 8 gig over my usage lol. Just bought a new samsung 22" Syncmaster and been watching Hi Def trailers a lot, hate having to wait for them.
Personally I don't do any torrent stuff, and general internet performance (and speed tests) at present seems fine. Sounds like it's maybe worth asking a question of PlusNet how your traffic is shaped in case something has gone wrong. But it could be many other things, like a capacity problem in your exchange or MTU/RWIN issues with your PC or router.
Your not using BBCi player are you?, because even when you think you have disconnected, it still has your machine hooked up to Kontiki and is using your machine as a server -
I will run a wireshark to see whats going on now. Dont use BBCi player. Just ran the shark, nothing unusal going on there, lots of requests for dead addresses on the network, but thats it.
Firstly, have you looked at the PlusNet Service Status since about 4pm today? Big problem; I'm down from my normal 6Mb or more download to about 2Mb. Secondly, what exactly is the source of your "profile" figures - without knowing it's impossible to comment on what they mean.
