Best possible upload speed with residential ADSL

OK, so I just read something about annex-M on the business packages guide.

Is this available for residential customers also? Or is 448kbps the max you can get?

With Verminmedia now but on Sky our attenuation was ~29DB and ~14DB upload so it should support it.

Re: Best possible upload speed with residential ADSL

Hello there

It depends if the BT line in your area will be on their 20Century Network or 21Century. On the former, 448kbps is the max. The latter, it can be uncapped which is usually 0.8 Mbps but can be anywhere up to 1 Mbps.

For 20Century customers I believe we still have a trial called Max Premium which is £7.83 per month for an upload speed of up to 832kbps.

I hope this helps

Re: Best possible upload speed with residential ADSL

It's 21CN, but even 800kbps is pretty pathetic. I guess Sky is the best option.

Thanks anyway.
