Belkin F9J1002 & Fibre

Morning all.
I am thinking of moving to fibre and have been researching modem/routers.
Currently have a Belkin F9J1002 that is ADSL2+ so my question is will this work with fibre and has anybody had any success with one?
Many Thanks

Re: Belkin F9J1002 & Fibre

Hi there,
You'd actually need a router that's specifically fibre compatible, as far as I'm able to tell the Belkin F9J1002 is purely an ADSL2+ modem router.
Just as a word of caution if you're considering moving to fibre and are wanting a combination modem/router (a cable router with built in VDSL modem) these tend to be very expensive and using one breaks the terms of the service as the provided BT Openreach modem is regarded as the demarcation point for the service.
Most fibre users tend to use a dedicated cable router (such as the Technicolor TG582n we provide) connected to the provided Openreach modem.
