Re: Bad Upload Performance

@bomster - you need to revisit the BTW speed tester and click the "Further Diagnostics" link, enter your phone number and then click "Run Diagnostic Test". That will send the results to the server, and you can copy and paste the outcome in to a reply - something like this:
1. Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Download  Speed
14.02 Mbps

0 Mbps 21 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Download speedachieved during the test was - 14.02 Mbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 4 Mbps-21 Mbps.
IP Profile for your line is - 15.19 Mbps
2. Upstream Test: -provides background information.
Upload Speed
0.85 Mbps

0 Mbps 0.83 Mbps
Max Achievable Speed
Upload speed achieved during the test was - 0.85Mbps
Additional Information:
Upstream Rate IP profile on your line is - 0.83 Mbps

Tip: You don't have to upload images to anywhere to post them on here. When you write your message click the Additional Options and Attachments where you will find the option to attach images to your post.

Re: Bad Upload Performance

Thanks for the tip. I'm using puush.me which takes a screen short and immediately uploads to the web and copies the link to your clipboard, you should check it out.
Anyway, I ran full diagnostics:

Re: Bad Upload Performance

I'd suggest getting a fault ticket raised at https://faults.plus.net
There's something wrong and we'll need to look deeper into it with the results we get from the fault.

Re: Bad Upload Performance

Evening all.
Just thought I'd let you know that everything is okay now:

Could a member of PN staff cancel the ticket that I posted on the fault system.
Thanks for everyone's help.  Smiley

Re: Bad Upload Performance

Since you raised the fault ticket yourself you should be able to close it by visiting https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=search, then click Close against the relevant ticket (or click View and click the Resolved button at the bottom).

Re: Bad Upload Performance

Sorry to be a burden to this forum, but I now have another problem.
I am getting random connection drops: router stays on, lights are green but internet and ADSL lights go off, and my internet connection drops for around 30 seconds.
I'm starting to think this might be hardware issue with my router. What do you guys thing?
If it is, how easy is it for me to get one of the Plus.net routers that I turned down at the start of when I ordered your service.
Many thanks for your ongoing support and help.

Re: Bad Upload Performance

That problem could be router related. Trying a different one would be worthwhile.
If you want a TG582n give the CSC a call and ask for one (now should be a good time to call). You will have to pay P&P (£5.99) by credit card, the rest is waived if you agree to stay for 12 months. It should be received in 2-3 days.

Re: Bad Upload Performance

Are the drops associated with making or receiving telephone calls?

Re: Bad Upload Performance

No, I very rarely receive calls on my land line.
Is it worth disconnecting the router and seeing if I get ore stability?
Cheers for your responses.

Re: Bad Upload Performance

We could try putting Interleaving on to see if that helps stabilise the line for you?

Re: Bad Upload Performance

Hi Chris.
Yes, could you switch it on.
If it kills my ping, can I request to have it switched back off easily enough?
Cheers.

Re: Bad Upload Performance

Yes, it shouldn't hamper your ping too much. If you want it switching off, it'll take us 24 hours that's all Smiley
I'll place an order for you now.
