BT wholeslae broadband performance check shows slow broadband

Following a discussion with Plusnet technical support yesterday, he did a test and found that I had a low broadband speed and could see my speed was below 1MB which means I could not use my iPlayer.  He reset my profile and advised I turned off my router and then turned in on again and I should then use BT wholesale broadband performance.  He said I should see an improved speed but I found that my download speed in 0.94 MBps, upload speed is 0.76 and ping latency is 39.88.  There has been no increase in broadband speed and I am still unable to use iPlayer.

Personally, I don't trust that BT Wholesale Broadband speed tester.  Many other speed test sites tell me I am getting 16+Mbps, while the BT one showed me 1.35Mb/s  Shocked
Try some others and see what you get -

Your line was dropping out a lot around a week ago, this would have caused the SNR to increase and the speed to decrease to try to stabilise the connection.
Since then the disconnections have stopped and your line profile is back at 15000, so you shouldn't be having speed issues now.
