BT have reset my speeds

Hi,
On Saturday morning something went wrong with my connection. It kept disconnecting and my upload speed droppped to 96kbps.
After a couple of hours and some resets this returned to 448kbps, however since then my download speed  is not functioning properly.
I normally connect between 3500 and 4200, performing around 3300. Since the cockup it is connecting between 2500 and 3000 and performing at 1900.
As you can imagine I'm not impressed at this unnecessary loss.
Please help PN staff.
Thanks

Re: BT have reset my speeds

Right, I've had a look and there were definitely a few disconnections on the 24th that have caused the drop in your profile. Things do seem to have stabilised since then but not enough to uplift the profile unfortunately.
The best thing to do would be to test from the master socket with all your phones unplugged and see if the drops still happen, if so raise us an intermittent fault at http://faults.plus.net and we'll get it escalated for you for investigation.
I'm sorry for the hassle,

Re: BT have reset my speeds

Thanks, I've done that.
The drops since the 24th are not a problem, they are my doing.
The problem is what ever happened on the 24th, that I accept may right itself if I stay connected long enough, but I am worried it is not going to return back to where it was any time soon, if at all.

Re: BT have reset my speeds

My net failed for 5 mins tongiht and afterwards I am left with 2080kbps down and 64kbps up.
It is getting worse.
Please help.
It is not due to disconnections alone.

Re: BT have reset my speeds

I have had responses from PN staff in two threads, but issues have not been replied to or the problem addressed.
I have had a ticket open for eight days.
Here is an example of my problems:

Re:BT have reset my speeds

Hi,
I'm fairly certain that this is down to an increase in your target noise margin.
Can you please see if your connection remain stable for the next 3 days (without any reboots please) and then we can review looking into getting BT to make a change to your target noise margin.

Re: BT have reset my speeds

My connection has been active without reboot for over 3 days.
My current download test shows 1040kbps.
Am I ever going to get back to 3300kbps?
Thanks

Re: BT have reset my speeds

Potentially yes.  It depends on how low BT will be willing to push your SNR.  We'll have to do it one bit at a time though.

Re: BT have reset my speeds

Just wondering if rebooting my router is to blame for my ip profile to go down from 5k to 2.5k or is that because i have an intermittent fault that i already have you looking into?  I'm rebooting my router 1-2 times a day as suggested because i'm in the training period.
