BT & plus net DNS servers no longer resolving gmail.com

I am no longer a plusnet customer, but at work we use BT internet and I can see from twitter that it is also affecting plusnet customers too, so I have posted here in slight chance that someone techy from plusnet can actually escalate it to someone who can get it fixed.

your DNS servers come back with non existent domain when searching for gmail.com since yesterday.

switching my dns to 8.8.8.8 it can be resolved normally.

Is this still happening? If so which DNS IP addresses are you using? I've just checked all 8 of our DNS IPs and they all respond with something similar to this:

Thanks, glad that's working again. I've sent this thread and the links on to the DNS team to look at why it wasn't working.
