BT Speedtester

During a severe slowdown episode I've used (tried to) the BT speed tester as well as the Ookla on the PlusNet site.  The Ookla seems consistent .  Its reported speeds generally match the real-live experience.  And it completes its test in short order.
The BT tester only works for me once in 10 or 12 tries.  Last night it completed a test with good looking speeds in 10 minutes or so.  Today (at 08:02) again I have waited for one hour for it to complete before giving up and sending off this query.  I have on occasion waited two hours with no completion.
90% of attempts to use the BT tester result in long waits and no completion.  For evening attempts this may be understandable, but I try morning, afternoon and evening with the same result/non-result.
Is that normal?

Hiya,
You wouldn't be the first person to experience difficulties with the BT Speedtester.
I'm afraid that at times it can be notoriously troublesome.

Re: BT Speedtester

You need Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed for the BT speedtester mind (just in case you didn't know).
