BT Speedchecker

Been having problems with my broadband, but to cut long story short, although I can use other speed checkers, every time I go to use the official one, I am getting nowhere.  I get this error message -
The login name entered on this tool doesnt match that discovered by querying the network for your domain name. Please check your telephone number (or user name) and try again. If problem persists please contact your CP.

I am definitely putting in my PlusNet login in name, even pasted it this time to make absolutely sure.  Am I doing something wrong?  It's very frustrating to wait for the it load and then get this.  Anyone else having problems?  If not, how do I contact my CP?  Huh

Re: BT Speedchecker

Hi there,
A CP is a Communications Provider, in your case, us.
That error message is pretty common with the BT Speedtester. It may let you in at some stage, which I appreciate isn't the best kind of fix!
What problem are you having specifically?
Are you definitely using http://www.speedtester.bt.com rather than http://speedtester.bt.com?

Are you sure you're using the right login?  It should be:

Re: BT Speedchecker

Hi thanks for quick replies.  I am definitely using the correct login artmo.  Smiley
And yes, I am using http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ that one, although in fact I have used the other one too now just to check and still get the error message.  I am even more confused now though, because they both appear to be exactly the same, apart from the URL.
Anyway no worries, not that important, it's just that my speed because of a fault etc that has now been sorted was down to 447mpbs if I was lucky for the past few days, but thank gawd it's back to around 6300 again now.  Grin
