But you can kind of figure out your IP Profile from doing a speed test and checking the PN line speed.

Sync Rate 79987K -> BT IP Profile -> 77.42Mbps (am I correct?)
79987K x 96.79% = 77.42Mbps
77.42Mbps divide that by 0.9679 equal 79987K

Re: BT Performance Test

Well your calculator is almost as good as mine. I think the Profile gets rounded up, so it would be 72.43Mbps.
I'm sure Andy can confirm Wink

Re: BT Performance Test

IP Profile is calculated from the sync speed
by dividing by 1.033 so a sync speed of 79987kbps translates to an IP profile of 77.42Mbps
which gives a Plusnet figure of 77.42Mbps

Re: BT Performance Test

Oh, it's a scientific calculator, needs a lot of skill to use.
Oh, btw, the Current Line speed gets rounded down so it may only be 72.4 Undecided

Re: BT Performance Test

The maths looks right - I think the Plusnet line speed is rounded down

Re: BT Performance Test

I can definitely say the Plusnet Current Line Speed is rounded down to the nearest 100kbps, I think the BT one is rounded up, not that is makes any difference to the maths here to 10kbps resolution
You really must get a good calculator goldenfibre, even google does the job better Crazy

OK Mr.Pedant, 79.987 divided by 1.033 = 77.43175218 which when rounded to 2 decimal figures is 77.43, so the Plusnet Profile will be 77.4.
NB. I can find no absolute proof (atm) that 1.033 is the exact figure but that one does come from reliable sources and fits with what most people see.

I've heard that if you don't use the internet for a few days (or maybe a week), then it will work again. I recommend you try this  Roll_eyes

I try it today after leave it alone for a week. But still the same. No good. I give up!

Adam C - any update yet from BT? The BT PT still won't work for over 16 days now. I bet BT won't fix it till after Xmas.
