Hi,
Expecting installation engineer on Tuesday.
My LAN IP addresses are in the 192.168.11.1 to 254 range spread over 7 computers and other devices, all set up as static IP addresses and I dont want to go round changing all the ip addresses to fit in with 192.168.1.xx etc. Does anyone know if changing the TG582n router IP address to fit in with my current LAN range will affect communication with the BT OpenReach modem.?
I would guess PlusNet have modified the Thompson Technicolor router with some custom code to use LAN port 4 to talk to the modem?
Thanks
George

Hi George,
If you just change the 582n's IP address into the 192.168.11.0/24 network then you will be fine, as the Openreach modem is effectively transparent and the 582n cannot see it.
Any more questions just ask,
Alex
