BT Home Hub on Plusnet

Not sure if this is the correct forum to ask this question but here goes.
I have a friend who is with Bt at present and has the home hub. She want to move to Plusnet at my recommendation and has asked if the home hub will still work.
I have no knowlege of the home hub is it just BT name for the wireless router?
Thanks
Dave

The BT Home hub will only work with BT Broadband.
Your friend can of course get a free router from PN depending which package she chooses.

Re: BT Home Hub on Plusnet

I thought you could use the home hub with the right firmware?  Or is that a cracked firmware?

Re: BT Home Hub on Plusnet

Apparaently, you can do it by reflashing the firmware with the generic Thomson SpeedTouch 7G firmware (which the hardware is based on).
Not for the faint-hearted, and of course you risk breaking the hub in the process.
As James said, I'd go for the router with the PlusNet package.

Re: BT Home Hub on Plusnet

I don't think the hub needs to be cracked, just have the latest firmware
