Hi Exchange recently became ADSL2+ enabled so queue jumped to get a bit of extra speed. Router solid at about 20Mbps. Plusnet profile 19Mbps. Overnight (test at 5am) I am getting throughput of 14Mbps. So technically all seems fine. However, in the peak evening my throughput is downt to 1Mbps - pretty awful when up until now I have been used to 6+ on ADSLMax. Why am I suddenly being throttled so bad?
It sounds like you are suffering from congestion on the current gateway rather than throttling! Have you tried logging in to your router and then disconnecting the the current PPP session then reconnecting to see if you can connect to another gateway not suffering congestion?
