Re: Awful, awful speeds since 'upgrade' to 21CN

Forget speed tests - your problem is sync speeds which are awful.
Please connect the router to the test socket (behind the master socket removable bit) with nothing else connected and report the stats again
Which model Belkin Router is it

Re: Awful, awful speeds since 'upgrade' to 21CN

There are several possibilities varying from BT screwed up the move to 21CN/ADSL2+ through to a filter going wrong or the router not supporting ADSL2+
It is always necessary to carry out the test socket bit first before raising a fault.

Re: Awful, awful speeds since 'upgrade' to 21CN

I restarted the router, for the umpteenth time and now get this!!!  Perhaps i jumped the gun complaining too early Lips_are_sealed
Still, i thought i'd get better than the 8MB i had before with this 'upgrade to 20MB'

Its a VERY old belkin router but Jo said i wouldnt need to change it. There is no way it supports ADSL2

Re: Awful, awful speeds since 'upgrade' to 21CN

You will need to wait for the Plusnet profile to increase - if it doesn't it can be kicked on Monday
I do however recommend getting a new router (via Plusnet or buying one) as the lack of support for ADSL2 may well be part of or indeed all of the problem

Re: Awful, awful speeds since 'upgrade' to 21CN

i would imagine either the BT IP profile is still capped at 7150 or the PN one is (which is Here)
That should update in (up to around) 3 days - keep the router sync'd (no reboots or turning it off) - if the BT one has sped up its normally 12 hours from then for PN to follow suit Smiley -- unless a member of staff prods it for you.
The BT speedtester should give you the IP profile when you get the results of the test Smiley

There's a bit of a problem at the moment with plusnet profiles not matching up automagically;

Sorry to say it, but it looks like the OP jumped the gun a bit and unnecessarily bought a new router when the plusnet profile just needed a bump...
