Asus router - The setting of Dynamic Ip or Static IP connection is not valid?

I have connected an Asus modem router up ( DSL N11) and all works fine until every half hour the connection drops with a message on the router page:
"The setting of Dynamic Ip or Static IP connection is not valid"
Anybody any idea how to fix this?

Have you got a timeout set in the connection settings on the router ?

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Timeout is set at 20?
What should I set it at?

You should be able to set it a 0, this would mean there is no timeout on most routers.

Have done, thanks. Hopefully, this will resolve the issue.
Ps. Is it necessary to have UpnP ticked 'on'? Or better to not to have it on?
