Assigned wrong speed profile? 40/10 vs 80/20

Hi All - just a short message - I'm certain my recently completed order has fallen foul of the incorrect profile allocation.
During signup it was indicated that I would be able to receive 80/20 fibre speeds but it appears I'm on the 40/10 profile. This is backed up by the availability of 80/20 fibre on http://www.dslchecker.bt..../adsl/adslchecker.welcome as I'm not far from my cabinet.
Could one of you guys take a look at my account for me and let me know?
Many thanks for your help - and what a great forum this is! Smiley Sure is ten times better than my old ISP - who I thought were good!

You just gotta love it when you get that kind of speed after the estimate said 62Mbps  Grin

Plus I live out in the country - rural Somerset - I'm 5 miles from my nearest town!  Cool

I am guessing that is contributing to your high speeds as it probably means the logical place for phone and fttc cabinet is very close to your house.  Bet you could hit the cab with decent well aimed stone throw... I know I could.  Not that I am suggesting you do try vandalising the cab by throwing stones to see you understand Wink

I'd struggle to throw a stone at it but I guess it's no more than 200 metres distant. I know I'm on a direct wire from the cab.

Re: Assigned wrong speed profile? 40/10 vs 80/20

Mine is about 280m to 35m depending on how it gets there but it goes around the houses quite literally and I am half the distance to it from our back garden hence why I know I could hit it easily  Cheesy
