My downspeeds are painfully slow with basically every torrent I try, barely scrapping 700kB/s.

Just doesn't seem overly speedy to myself, these sorts of speeds are very common for what I'm seeing, taking a rather long time for large downloads to complete.

11.9GB = 11.9 x 1,000,000 kB = 11.9 x 1,000,000 x 8 kb = 95,200,000 kb
5.8 hours = 5.8 x 3,600 secs = 20,880 secs
Speed 95,200,000 / 20,880 = 4559kbps
and 680kB/s is 5440 kb/s

Better screenshot of my Utorrent, where I was getting my numbers from, chances are I was getting something slightly wrong.
