Anyone having problems with skype at the moment?

I use skype at work to communicate with a few overseas clients, and so far this morning I have noticed that it keeps connecting and disconnecting.
The rest of our interenet activites appear to be unaffected.
I was just wondering if anyone else was having similar problems.

There is a website to follow-up the Skype status: heartbeat.skype.com
They indeed have a problem with the Skype login since yesterday.

Thought it was me yesterday - tried changing settings, firewall etc etc.
Should have Googled and found this
Was able to connect earlier this morning but didn't actually use service.

I don't use it, but others at work do and we've had the following e-mail sent round:

UPDATED 16 August, 2007 14:02 GMT: Some of you may be having problems logging in to Skype. Our engineering team has determined that it’s a software issue. We expect this to be resolved within 12 to 24 hours. Meanwhile, you can simply leave your Skype client running and as soon as the issue is resolved, you will be logged in. We apologize for the inconvenience.

From looking at their site today, it still says:

"Skype is currently working on resolving the sign-on issue. We’re fixing our networking software and monitoring the clients getting online with increased success."

So it looks like they've been having problems for the last couple of days.

Thanks for the info through this thread.  I had to spend an hour of my free mobile phone time last night because I was unable to connect to Skype and speak Skype to Skype.
That link to heartbeat.skype.com is very useful and I have already bookmarked it.

We saw a 50% drop in VoIP traffic yesterday, and I couldn't log into Skype at all all day.
