Anybody use Giganews? They seem to have disappeared completely for me.

Never heard of it but if you mean giganews.com then it's working fine for me.

Yes I meant giganews.com (www.giganews.com and news-europe.giganews.com) were both timing out on me for quite a while before I posted . They are now responding again.

Our own Usenet feed is provided by Giganews and I've not seen any complaints in our feedback groups.

Thanks for the response Bob. My web browser was timing out trying to connect to www.giganews.com and Agent was giving up after 6 tries to connect to the news server. After about half an hour, I raised a ticket with Giganews who were similarly unaware of any problems but then in the meantime something somewhere started responding again and I'm back to normal now - 'fraid I was at the back of the queue when they handed patience out
