Any way to increase TG582n router WLAN speeds

The highest speed I've ever seen listed in my router's WLAN info is 65Mbps.

I was thinking that an 802.11n connection was supposed to be much quicker than this, even reaching speeds up to 600Mbs. At it's current speed it's making streaming video across my network pretty much impossible without a LAN cable.
Any thoughts / input anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Considering that one can stream acceptably well at 8Mbps over ADSL, I rather suspect that the 65Mbps WiFi is not the issue here.  I would be looking at WiFi spectrum congestion.  How many other stations are there on your channel?
See http://npr.me.uk for details on tweaking wifi speeds.

Townman beat me to it, but I was going to say I can happily stream with an average 6.7Mbps download speed on 20CN ADSL Max.  Of course, nobody else can do anything then but that's another story!  But 65Mbps would seem like plenty to me

Thanks for both responses.
Checked and channel 1 where I am was very crowded. Have moved to a higher unused channel and will see how that goes.
