Any way/application to "turn on" iplayer/4od at midnight?

The question: Is there any way/application to "turn on" iplayer/4od at midnight, and possibly off again at 8am?
The reason for asking: We have a 2mb connection, and at 11pm I set 6 bbc things and a couple of c4 shows downloading (had a week to catch up on!) thinking they would take all night, therefore would mostly download after midnight (hence free use)
Unless the BB usage tool is wrong, they seem to have done mostly before midnight - impressive, over 1.4Gb in an hour!
It's not a big problem this time, but if we did that every week it would sap most of our allowance, and with my shift pattern I don't want to sit up 'til midnight to set it going.
Thanks.

Is there a way? Yes. Is there an easy way? Not really.
You need to know the url to launch the programme download and this can then be scheduled for a given time using Scheduled Tasks under XP/Vista. However this is "quite fiddly" but if I find out a painless way of doing it then I'll happily share (if not beaten to the punch by someone else here).
