Although ive raised a ticket, I thought I would still ask the community for ideas.
My connection speed is painfully slow at the moment, it has been for the last few days.
I've 'viewed my usage' and its literllay just peaked 300mb over my allowance, but theres no mention of being penalised for it (which im sure is what doesnt happen on my package?), anyhow, my speed test results are:
which is painfully slow as you can imagine.
Would anyone be able to shed any light on this?
I've also ran connection tests and its returned no faults.
My router is connected at just over 8mb.
Regards
Adam

OK.
Couple of things... What package are you on firstly, as you may not have had an E-Mail yet about going over your limits.
Can you post your line stats from your router, as you may have had a low sync event
Also can you do a BT speedtest at all, as this will give us your IP profile. What does it say here https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed
If you dont know how to get your line stats, try here.. http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/index.htm
The above info should give a pointer to where your issues may be...

Thanks for your quick reply penfold.
Rx Sync is 8128
Upstream is constant at around 450
downstream is constant at 8000
Just to clarify, the slow speeds are both from my hardwired PC and my partners wireless laptop.
On average, most webpages (.co.uks and .coms) are taking over 20 seconds to load, this includes plusnets domain.

Can you clarify if you have gone over your allowance or not? Which package are you on?

They look OK... Just really need a BT speedtest, to see what your BT profile is, as its just possible you may have had a sync blip, and trashed your BT profile, and what package you are on, as you may be being throttled, if you have gone over your limit.
TBH I suspect it is throttling, by going over your useage limit, but need to know package.

I thought that was the case, 300MB might be classed as more than 'just gone over'
Glad you have it sorted though
