Another speed problem !

I've been connecting for the last couple of years at over 6 meg'  and like one of the other customers in another post my speed has dropped to less than 0.5 meg during the last couple of days making web pages very slow to load .
I'm connecting via ethernet cable. Nothing else is using the connection and it's becoming very frustrating.

I've had a look over your account and can't see anything that would causes these problems. I'd suggest logging in to the router, disconnecting and then reconnecting and trying another speedtest (try a couple of different sites) and then running through https://faults.plus.net and report this through to our faults team if you're still having problems.

Thanks for the replies, but it's back up to about 5.7 mb tonight. I've only experienced a big slow down like this once and it was only for an hour or two.
