I recently purchased an Android tablet. Was easy to set up an internet connection and browse the web BUT....
It proved impossible to download apps from Google Play Store. They would appear to start downloading but never finish. After three days trying various fixes I discovered another person who had a similar problem. That had been resolved by changing the DNS server they used.
Since my router was set up to choose a DNS server automatically so I assume it picks up the Plusnet DNS?? Anyway I set it to manually use the Google DNS 8.8.8.8. rebooted and the problem went away.
I'm not sure how the router selects a DNS if one isn't specified manually but in case it would have been the Plusnet DNS I thought worth posting it here.
