Amazon devices won't connect.

I am having a problem with a Amazon echo spot not connecting to WiFi. I got it at Xmas and until recently it's been fine. Now it won't connect at all. I've had a new router but it still won't connect.
Also a few other devices connect but are unreliable showing connected but no internet occasionally.
Has there been a recent firmware update that may have caused this ?

I'm unaware of any recent firmware changes which may have caused this, but I've tagged our expert in that field @bobpullen just to be sure.

In the interim, you may want to take a look at the information here which advises on how to split out the frequencies on your router to provide the Amazon Echo with a dedicated connection.
