Am I doing something wrong?

Ok, so here the issue.
I have a ps3 in my conservatory, connected wirelessly.
Since the plusnet fibre has been installed the internet connection on the ps3 has severely dropped in speed. 08/0.4
I have set dmz on the router for its IP address.  And the distance from the router is about 3m only with 2 walls, one wooden one brick.
However before I switched from sky DSL. I was getting 14/0.5
Another thing I find strange is when I do a speed test in there from any other wireless device I get at least 35/15?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Am I doing something wrong?

You tried moving your ps3 next to the router or even hardwiring it? If its a different router than the one you tried with Sky it may ave a weak wifi signal.

Re: Am I doing something wrong?

This may not be of any help but........after I was upgraded to ADSL2+ recently I was struggling to get more than 6.5Mbps wirelessly even tho' I was measuring 16.5Mbps via ethernet cable.
Found that my TP-Link router was set for "b/g or n". Since I only had one device equipped with an "n" wireless adapter I changed the default in the router settings to "b/g" -Hey Presto -wireless connections as fast as ethernet on all devices!!!
No idea why it worked but...... Wink
